How Your Pregnancy Lifestyle Affects Genetic Outcomes
You’ve been wondering…
Does any of that sound familiar?
You want to do the best you can for your baby. You are ready to shift to healthier habits and do as much as possible to set your child up for a lifetime of success. You already deeply love your baby, and you care about making choices now that will truly support their future.
You’re ready to learn more about how your pregnancy lifestyle can affect your baby’s health not only at birth, but throughout their entire lives into adulthood. You were hoping to get some good advice from your doctor, only to find out they really didn’t have that much to tell you about prenatal nutrition.
“Take a prenatal vitamin and don’t eat too much fish,” you were told.
But there has to be more to it than that, right?
You know you’re not supposed to drink and smoke because it can directly affect your baby’s health. But what else directly effects their health?
Maybe you’ve already read a great pregnancy book like What to Expect When You’re Expecting, but once again you were left wondering, is there more I could be doing for my baby?
Your head is swirling with questions, and you’re just not finding the direct answers you need.
- Can’t somebody lay out the importance of my nutrition during pregnancy?
- Can’t someone just tell me what to eat, what not to eat, and give me up-to-date science-driven information without me reading all the scientific mumbo jumbo?
- I know real whole food without labels is healthiest… but I’ve been told to eat a lot of cereal and bread. Is that right?
- Are the tips and advice from my mom’s generation what we know to be helpful and true today?
- Is exercise dangerous for my baby?
- Can I lose fat while pregnant, or is that bad too?
The list of questions about a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy is endless for many of us. As mom’s to be, we aren’t seeing the answers we need. All the advice sounds old and outdated. And no one is pointing us toward many answers at all.
Imagine this…
You know exactly which nutrients are important to increase in each trimester for optimal fetal growth.
I’m not talking, my baby will probably not have neural tube defects, I’m talking OPTIMAL. Like you are confident that you’re making the best choices to express good genes in your baby, lowering their propensity towards things like autism, ADHD, heart disease, and diabetes. ALL BY WHAT YOU EAT.
You get dessert every single day, and you still have a fit and healthy pregnancy.
Your prenatal workout is laid out for you, it’s only about 15 minutes, and it helps…
to express good genes in your baby, including a healthy metabolism and heart through adulthood.
It gives you energy when you are dragging, helps you stop peeing yourself when you sneeze, makes that preggo backache virtually nonexistant, and is prepping your body for labor.

You have printables on your fridge reminding you what nutrients your baby needs and motivational mantras hanging around your room for days you feel sluggish.
You are completely and totally prepared.
Sounds too good to be true, right? Or maybe just too far-fetched? You’re wondering then, how you haven’t heard this before?
I get it…
I’ve been there too!

I became a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer even before I became a mom 15 years ago. I know how health and fitness can change your life. I knew all about how to have a fit and active “bump only” pregnancy.
But not until 8 years ago, when I took a course at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and became certified in Nutrition and Lifestyle in Pregnancy, did I understand the vital importance of prenatal nutrition.
I was blown away by what we now know about epigenetics. That what nutrients you provide to your growing baby, and at which stages of pregnancy, can essentially turn on or off the expression of your baby’s developing genes. Directly affecting their morbidity! I was blown away.
Moms aren’t given this information. I hadn’t been given this information! I felt compelled to continue studying prenatal nutrition and fitness from then on so that I could find a way to share everything I’d learned with every mom-to-be in an easy to understand and easy to apply way.
Because you deserve this information.
Your baby deserves for you to have and understand this information.
Every mother wants to do the best she can for her baby.
Women readily alter their habits when they know that it is in the best interest of their baby. How could you not?
The Perfect Pregnancy Plan will go far beyond:
- stop smoking
- stop drinking
- don’t eat soft cheese
- avoid fish
- take a prenatal
Through the Perfect Pregnancy Plan I’m aiming to close the gaps in traditional old-fashioned pregnancy nutrition advice, and share the new guidelines and the more recently discovered vital importance a mother’s nutrition plays in her baby’s morbidity in a down-to-earth and easy-to-understand way.
And even better?
It’s easy to implement as well.
The Perfect Pregnancy Plan is created in the form of 2 separate courses.
- The Perfect Pregnancy Nutrition Plan
- The Perfect Pregnancy Fitness Plan
Why two courses?
The Perfect Pregnancy Plan is extensive. There is a lot of information, and in an attempt to make it the easiest to understand and apply, it was best to create two different courses meant to work in conjunction.
You’re pregnant, you’re tired, and if you’re anything like me… it feels like your baby ate your brain. Formatted this way, the course is clear and so easy to implement. But don’t worry, you get access to both!
The Perfect Pregnancy Plan is here to support you. Whether you want to learn all the details about prenatal nutrition, prenatal fitness, or both.
And that’s all well and good coming from its creator, but she’s not the only one loving this new course. The Perfect Pregnancy Plan is also getting rave reviews from moms everywhere. Read what doctors and real moms have to say about the Perfect Pregnancy Plan firsthand!

In the PPP Nutrition Course, you will learn all the micronutrients that are known to be directly linked to optimal fetal development. You’re going to learn why you need them and exactly how they are proven to benefit your baby.
You’ll learn tons of great food sources for each nutrient, listed in order based on their nutritional content and its bioavailability.
Oh, and on that note, you’ll learn all the tricks and tips to increase your mineral absorption of these foods. So you can get the most bang for your buck.
Your nutritional needs skyrocket during pregnancy, but your caloric needs? They barely increase at all. Meaning you need to know how to get more nutrients from your food without really adding much more food. But don’t worry, you’ll also get tons of great recipes to help you out along the way.

The exercises in The Perfect Pregnancy Plan are far more than just pregnancy-safe workouts designed for each trimester.
This workout plan is based on specific strength that you will need for pregnancy to aid in preventing diastasis recti, alleviating common pregnancy aches and pains, preparing your body for an easier labor, helping to prevent or more easily repair pelvic floor dysfunctions postpartum, and strengthening body parts that will be overused immediately postpartum as a new mom (before you are even overusing them).
To say this workout plan is all-inclusive is an understatement. As stated before, exercise during pregnancy is extremely important to baby’s health, but this plan is specifically designed for your prenatal needs.
That is the true beauty of this perfect pregnancy fitness plan. It is designed:
- To enhance positive genetic expression in your baby.
- To prepare your body for the changes and strains it will be encountering, before they become a problem.
- To give you a fit and healthy pregnancy.
- To prepare your body for childbirth and the postpartum period.

1. I’m already in my second [or third] trimester. Can I still benefit from the PPP?
Yes, this plan can still be super helpful in enhancing your baby’s health. While it is most beneficial to begin this program even prior to pregnancy, it has been shown that prenatal nutrition plays a critical role in each trimester. Meaning it’s not too late. By getting the nutrients you need now and starting to exercise, you can still help to grow a healthier baby.
2. I’m just planning my pregnancy now. Should I take the program now or wait until I’m pregnant?
I would definitely recommend buying now! Within the PPP, there is a chapter about how to prepare your body for a healthier pregnancy, even when you’re just in the planning stages. Also, the neural tube is formed prior to most women even knowing that they are pregnant, so getting proper prenatal nutrition and taking the correct type of prenatal vitamins should ideally begin prior to conception. It’s built perfectly for someone in your shoes!
3. I am a vegan. Is this a good program for me?
Unfortunately no. Many of the nutrients that are required for optimal fetal development are sourced from animal products like meat, fish, and eggs. As it is extremely difficult to source enough of certain nutrients like choline, iron, and DHA without consuming these products. Recipes to guide you to do so are not within the scope of this program.
4. I have a lot of dietary restrictions. Can I still benefit from the PPP?
Yes, as long as you are willing to eat some animal products, as mentioned in the previous response. If you are sensitive to dairy, gluten, etc., this program guides you in plenty of alternative sources for nutrients.
5. I am overweight. Will this plan help me lose fat and gain muscle?
Losing fat and gaining muscle is directly related to your diet and exercise, so the PPP can be extremely helpful in that aspect. There are additional printables included for moms-to-be in your situation (about half are), so that you can keep better track of your diet. While for many the PPP is not about counting calories and is more about counting nutrients, this program is designed with printables to help you track your diet and calories if losing fat is your goal. The PPP will give you all the tools you need to take control of your weight during your pregnancy!
6. Do I have to track my eating daily and count calories on this diet plan?
Under most circumstances, not at all! It is recommended to track your diet for 3 days when you begin the plan, only to gauge what adjustments you need to make. Foods you need to remove, replacements you can make, or nutrients you need more of. After that, as long as you are gaining weight at an ideal pace, you should be focusing on counting nutrients only.
7. Is there a refund policy if this doesn’t work for me?
The PPP has recently switched to a subscription model, so you are able to cancel at any time and will not be charged the following month.
8. I have a huge sweet tooth! Can I still follow this plan?
Definitely! It is recommended to omit or limit sugar while pregnant. However, we all have a big sweet tooth during pregnancy. 🙂 That’s why the first recipe section in the program is mouthwatering, guilt-free desserts! You will learn to replace processed sweets with sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit, and you will learn healthy dessert recipes to replace all those cravings.
9. I’m new to working out but am willing to give it a try for my baby’s health. How hard are the workouts?
There are 6 workouts for each trimester. Plus a few additional targeting your core and pelvic floor. The workouts are for a beginner to moderate fitness level. If the first trimester workouts are too challenging, it is safe to do the easier second and third trimester workouts instead. You will still be benefiting your baby and your own health and fitness levels.
